WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON
Merry Christmas everyone!
Today's opponents, King's Lynn Town, always provide a tough test. The Linnets currently occupy 16th place in the table, but recent form has been good with two wins, two draws, and just one defeat coming in the last 5 league games.
Gold Omotayo remains one of the most effective strikers at this level, while Matty Clunan has been a strong and influential leader wherever he's played. Under the continued guidance of Ian Culverhouse, King's Lynn are showing clear signs of progress and could well push towards the play-off places as the season unfolds.
The sides played out a hard-fought 1–1 draw back in August. Quakers earned a valuable point despite being reduced to ten men for more than half the match. Cedric Main gave Darlo the lead with an opportunist finish, but shortly afterwards Scott Barrow was shown a straight red for pulling back Michael Gyasi, who later levelled the scores in the second half. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Quakers displayed great resilience, defending resolutely and even coming close to snatching all three points.
Darlo connections include winger Jack Lambert, who made 79 appearances and scoring 20 goals during two spells with the Quakers and, forward, Theo Williams (currently on loan at Gainsborough Trinity). Julian Joachim also represented both clubs racking up 76 appearances and 13 goals for Darlo under Dave Penney before moving to King’s Lynn during the summer of 2008.

From a Darlo perspective, the lads will be keen to bounce back from a heavy and unexpected defeat at Oxford City. Injuries and fatigue played their part that day, but a two-week break has provided a much-needed opportunity for rest and recovery.
With 14 goals scored and 13 goals conceded in the last five matches, you get the feeling that today should be an entertaining encounter.
Finally, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the supporters, players, and officials of King's Lynn Town.
