Away Travel

DFCSG run coaches to all away games across the season. These luxury coaches are supplied by Atkinson’s Coaches and are equipped with toilets and drinks facilities. The coaches leave from Park Place, Darlington and arrive at their destination around 90 minutes before kick-off.

Atkinsons
The away travel fares are banded - a maximum fare of £28 (£31 for non-members) will apply for the longest journeys, although trips within the North East and Yorkshire will be cheaper.

Owners (ie, DFCSG Members) will receive a discount of £3 on production of their YOURCLUB membership via their mobile phone on the coach. Under 16s (as at 1st Sept) will be able to travel for half the standard fare (rounded up to the nearest £) and they will receive a further discount if they are also Owners. Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Should the match be postponed after the coach has left Darlington you will be entitled to a 50% refund.

Our friends over at DAFTS (Darlington Away Far Travelling Supporters) also publish some excellent Away Travel Guides which can be found on their website.

Conditions of Travel on DFCSG Away Coaches

Whilst we pride ourselves on the exemplary behaviour of those that regularly travel on the DFCSG coaches to away matches, in light of the incident at Scarborough on Monday 2nd January 2023, we need to inform all potential travellers on our coaches that:

  • We have zero-tolerance towards discriminatory language, abuse, chanting and behaviour of any kind.
  • We expect everyone traveling on our coaches to behave towards others in a manner consistent with principles of fairness, respect and tolerance (whilst traveling and during the match).
  • We find hateful behaviour based on any form of discrimination wholly unacceptable.
  • We don't want you on our coaches if you can't accept that, or if you behave in a manner that is incompatible with these values.

The above standards of behaviour are consistent with the Club’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy, which can be viewed here.

The guidance also advises that additional measures are taken when leaving the home including wearing a face covering and avoiding crowded places. Those that test positive are advised to follow this guidance for five days from the day they took their test.
