Dublin born Richie Byrne joined Steve Staunton's Darlington in January 2010 amid a League Two relegation battle and with the club in turmoil. The left back, struggling with injury, made just four appearances for Darlo in his brief spell at the club. Irish Sports Journalist Tom Byrne recently sat down with Richie to discuss his memories of that turbulent spell, which ultimately ended in relegation from the Football League.
