Missed yesterday's game or just couldn't get hold of a programme? YOURCLUB Content brings you DFCSG's programme notes from the Warrington Town game.

WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON

It's a been a really tough start to the season; the 8-0 thrashing at Chorley was particularly difficult to take, but the green shoots of revival are visible. We are starting to win games.

From tonight, we embark on a run of fixtures that presents an opportunity to accumulate points, specifically Warrington (h), Rushall (h), Southport (a), Banbury (a), Gloucester (a), Bishop’s Stortford (h) and Scarborough (a & h).

Warrington Town were promoted in the summer and currently occupy 11th place having won 7, drawn 4 and lost 6. Recent league form has been good with wins against Rushall Olympic and Gloucester City.

Josh Amis can be a handful up top; Isaac Buckley-Rickets has been playing well, and I'm sure that most will recognise Andre Wisdom of Liverpool and Derby County fame. As the old saying goes, there are no easy games in this league.

Let's keep backing Josh, Danny and the lads. Darlo fans are incredibly passionate, generous, and patient, but we need to hold our nerve. Our strength has always been positive action and unity in difficult times.

If we continue to pull in the same direction, then we stand a much better chance of moving away from the relegation places.

Finally, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the supporters, players, and officials of Warrington Town. Enjoy the game!

DARLINGTON FOOTBALL CLUB 1960s HALL OF FAME

On Saturday 11th November 2023, prior to our NLN match against Chester FC, the first tranche of individuals were inducted to the Darlington Football Club Hall of Fame in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the fortunes Darlington Football Club, specifically during the 1960s.

This project was first 'hatched' in early-2022 by DAFTS (Darlington Away Far Travelling Supporters), who are a social group of exiled supporters. They have sponsored this project in conjunction with DFCSG.

In April 2022, DFCSG canvassed supporters for their nominations. DAFTS, after some lengthy deliberations in conjunction with the DFCSG Board, decided on a list of seven inductees.

DFC Hospitality host Andrew Scullion was joined by Tony Waters and Ted Blair, both of DAFTS, to induct the following seven players into the DFC Hall of Fame: John Peverell, Tony Moor, Ron Greener, Alan Sproates, Lance Robson, Lol Morgan and George McGeachie.

Sadly, only John Peverell and Tony Moor are still with us (for certain, as we have been unable to establish the whereabouts of George McGeachie) and they were there in person to receive their award of a framed photograph with citation. The awards for the remaining inductees were received by either close family members or friends.

The 'Hall of Fame' will initially be in the form of a 'virtual gallery' hosted on YOURCLUB until such time that the Club is in the position to have a physical exhibition for fans to be able to view.

Later this season, we will be back to canvass supporters for their nominations for those players/officials/staff that made outstanding contributions Darlington FC during the 1970s.
