DFCSG News - Spennymoor Town, Saturday 22nd November 2025

Missed Saturday's game or just couldn't get hold of a programme? YOURCLUB Content brings you DFCSG's programme notes from the Spennymoor Town game.
WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON
We entertain local rivals, Spennymoor Town, for our first local derby of the season.
Playing Spennymoor invokes memories of our mutual progression from the Northern League to National League North and, of course, that play-off semi-final victory in 2015 when David Dowson squeezed home an 89th minute winner.
Spennymoor Town are flying this season and have picked up some impressive results, including a 6-4 home win over Merthyr Town and a 2-0 win at Radcliffe, although they do concede goals as evidenced by 0-5 defeats to Kings Lynn Town & AFC Fylde.
The Moors currently occupy a play-off position and will be looking to cement their promotion credentials today. Glen Taylor is always a threat, whilst new signing Mackenzie Heaney is dangerous going forward. Former Quakers Rob Rmashaw, Cam Salkeld, and Junior Mondal will be in the Moors' squad, whilst manager, Graeme Lee, made 24 appearances for Quakers during the 2011-12 season.

From a Darlo perspective, recent weeks have seen a clear improvement in our possession, organisation, and determination.
Recent loan signings have added quality and depth to the squad and Cedric Main is returning fitness which will add further firepower to our frontline. The play-offs are now firmly in sight!
Our last home game against Spenny ended in a 1-0 victory for the Quakers, with Jack Maskell netting the winner...let's hope for more of the same today.
Finally, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the supporters, players, and officials of Spennymoor Town.
