Missed Saturday's game or just couldn't get hold of a programme? YOURCLUB Content brings you DFCSG's programme notes from the Rushall Olympic game.
WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON
The rollercoaster ride continues! Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday…is always a tough gig for semi-pro clubs.
As the 2024/25 season draws to a close, it's no surprise to see the full-time teams gathering at the top of the table. Having said that, we're still in with a shout of pinching a play-off spot but you sense that we'll need to win 5, probably 6, of our last 8 games. It’s difficult, but achievable.
Rushall Olympic have struggled this season and are fighting hard to avoid relegation.
At the time of writing, the Pics are second bottom in the table, 6 points from safety. They've got a tricky run-in which includes games against Darlo, South Shields, Kidderminster and Chorley. It does feel like time is running out for Rushall.
Congratulations to Newcastle United on winning the League Cup, defeating Liverpool 2-1! What a header from Dan Burn and a much-deserved MOTM award.
I think it’s time to recall him from loan now…
Finally, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the supporters, players, and officials of Rushall Olympic.
DARLINGTON FC AGM
Darlington Football Club have announced details of their Annual General Meeting, which is to be held on Friday 28th March. This meeting is open to shareholders of Darlington 1883 Limited.
DFCSG as the majority shareholder Darlington 1883 Limited, will be represented by members of the DFCSG Board. If you have any queries about the DFC AGM, please email neil.raper@darlingtonfc.org.
WERE YOU WATCHING DARLINGTON FC DURING THE 1980?
If so, then need your help! The second group of nominees were inducted to the Darlington Football Club Hall of Fame at the Brackley Town match. These were players who had represented the Club specifically during the 1970s.
On Tuesday 11th March, we launched the next phase of the 'Hall of Fame' by inviting nominations for those individuals that represented the Club during the 1980s.
Each fan is entitled to submit a maximum of five nominations. Nominations close at 6pm on Monday (7th April). For further information about the project, and for details of how to submit your nominations go to:
https://yourclub.darlingtonfc.co.uk/dfc-hall-of-fame-nomination-invitation-8081-8990
If you are too young to have watched Darlo in the '80s, but have you a friend or relative that was a fan of the Club at that time, then you could still have an important part to play.
Firstly, by making your friend/relative aware of this project, and secondly, if they aren't particularly 'tech savvy', you could either show them how to submit their nominations or alternatively, we would be very happy to receive nominations from you on their behalf.
This afternoon’s proceedings are being conducted by DAFTS members, Tony Waters and Ted Blair, and I would like to express our thanks for their excellent contribution to this project.
