DFCSG News - Peterborough Sports, Tuesday 18th November 2025

Missed last night's game or just couldn't get hold of a programme? YOURCLUB Content brings you DFCSG's programme notes from the Peterborough Sports game.

WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON

The lads are full of confidence following recent back-to-back league wins and tonight represents another opportunity to build on that momentum.

The 5-1 thrashing of Worksop Town was incredibly enjoyable, but the 2-1 victory at Kidderminster was perhaps the more impressive result given relative prospects (and budget) of our opponents. Not many clubs will take 3 points away from Aggborough Stadium so the lads should be justifiably proud!

The squad is looking sharper, more determined, and Peterborough Sports at home is exactly the kind of fixture we should be targeting for 3 points, especially if our ambitions of making the play-offs are to become a reality.

Our loan players continue to impress…Paddy McLaughlin, Max Howells, Charlie Lennon and Darryl Ombang all seem to be enjoying their time with us. Long may that continue.

Peterborough Sports arrive in less comfortable shape. Results so far suggest a season of struggle ahead. They do have some bright individuals: forward Josiah Dyer has picked up a couple of goals already this campaign, whilst Kane Felix has pace to burn and is always a threat.

At the time of writing, The Turbines are 23rd in the table, and you suspect they'll be fighting against relegation this season. For a small club, Peterborough Sports have one brilliantly to stay in this league over the past few seasons, but National League North gets tougher each season, and you do fear for them.

Our last meeting with Peterborough Sports didn’t quite go our way…a 1-4 reverse back in March. That result should drive us tonight!

Finally, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the supporters, players, and officials of Peterborough Sports.

YOURCLUB MEN’S PLAYER OF OCTOBER

Jack Maskell is your YOURCLUB DFC Men's Player of October!

Well done to Jack on winning his first POTM award of the season!

QUAKER LOTTERY

I'm pleased to report that DFCSG’s Quaker Lottery continues to go from strength to strength in the very capable hands Pete Ashmore.

As a result of a recent upturn in participants (the largest number since inception in 2012) the proceeds from Quaker Lottery are now providing contributions to Darlington Football Club of £1,600 per month.
