Each month and throughout the season we ask Darlington fans to vote on who has been their "YOURCLUB DFC Men's Player of the Month" via a YC Poll. Who will be your choice this month?
Who has been your YOURCLUB DFC Men's Player of September 2026?
The team played four league games and one FA Cup game across the month, winning once (away to Redcar Town in the FA Cup), drawing once (at home to Hebburn) and losing three times (King's Lynn at home, and Chorley and Marine away).
The team finished the month 22nd in the league on seven points from ten games played, ten points from 7th place.
Eight goals were scored across the month - three from Mark Beck, two from Aidan Rutledge, and one each from Dylan Stephenson, Toby Lees and Ben Hedley.
Only two players started every game in the month - Bobby Jones and Toby Lees.
In transfer news, Jonah Lowes returned on loan to the club from Carlisle United, as did Hayden Atkinson. Amaru Smith returned to Carlisle at the end of his loan spell. We also loan signed old favourite Jacob Hazel from Chester and Leeds United striker Jacob Render. Logan Pye was released by the club towards the end of the month.
