David Steel | 3rd April 2024

Each month and throughout the season we ask Darlington fans to vote on who has been their "YOURCLUB DFC Men's Player of the Month" via a YC Poll. Who will be your choice this month?

Who has been your YOURCLUB DFC Men's Player of March? 🤔

The team played seven league games in a busy month, winning four (away to Blyth Spartans, and home to Banbury United, Scunthorpe United and Peterborough Sports) and losing three times (Spennymoor Town, Rushall Olympic and Chorley).

Aidan Rutledge made his first start for the club, coming off the bench away at Rushall Olympic before a start at home to Chorley, and likewise Boro loanee Joe Gibson got his debut as a late sub at Blyth Spartans. Adriano Moke departed the club and Hayden Lindley joined Pontefract Collieries on loan for the rest of the season. Jassem Sukar returned from his loan spell at Scarborough during the month.

The team bagged 13 goals across March (the most this season in a single month, pipping nine goals scored in February), with five for Cameron Salkeld, four for Matty Cornish, three for Cedric Main and one for Andrew Nelson.

Seven players started every game in the month - Toby Lees, Scott Barrow, Kallum Griffiths, Tom Platt, Will Hatfield, Cedric Main and Matty Cornish.

Matty YoungBen Hedley and Cameron Salkeld each started all but one of March's seven games.
