DFCSG News - Radcliffe, Tuesday 11th March 2025

Missed last night's game or just couldn't get hold of a programme? YOURCLUB Content brings you DFCSG's programme notes from the Radcliffe.
WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON
Watching PSG dominate Liverpool but fall to defeat in last week's Champions League tie, reminded me of our recent performances - particularly Spenny away! Lots of quality on the ball, controlled passing, endless shots at goal, but ultimately beaten by fleeting counter attacks.
It's easy to become hysterical after a run of defeats, but in reality we're progressing well, both on and off the pitch.
Steve's interview after the Spennymoor game was calm but measured and exactly the type of leadership we need to succeed. Steve identified the progress we've made during the past 15 months and gave a clear message that dominating football matches will inevitably bring consistency and positive results.
A home fixture against Radcliffe Borough provides an excellent opportunity to kick-start our season as we look to pinch one of the final play-off spots. It'll be tough, no doubt, but our "run-in" is relatively kind, so its achievable if we finish the season strongly.
Radcliffe Borough are struggling to adjust to life in the National League North and, at the time of writing, occupy 18th place in the table.
Managed by the effervescent Bernard & Jonno (famed by the "Class of 92" TV Series and the associated rivalry between Salford and Darlo), Radcliffe will be no pushovers but, all things being equal, Quakers should be odds-on to secure all three points.
Finally, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the supporters, players, and officials of Radcliffe Borough.
DFCSG AWAY TRAVEL – NEW BOOKING SYSTEM
As you will have no doubt seen on YourClub already, DFCSG have a new online booking system for sorting your travel by coach to all DFC away games. Here's how it works…
Step one: From now on, all away travel bookings must be made online via YourClub. Everyone travelling must be registered with YourClub, either as a basic (free) member or as an Owner (DFCSG Member).
Step two: Visit the 'Away Travel' section within 'Fan Services' on YourClub and select the fixture you want to book travel for. The booking system will show available seats, departure details, and pricing.
Step three: Enter your details and make your payment online. Prices are banded, with a maximum fare of £30 (£33 for non-members) for long-distance trips, while shorter journeys within the North East and Yorkshire will be cheaper.
DFCSG Owners receive a £3 discount per booking. Under-16s can travel for half the standard fare (rounded up to the nearest £) and receive an extra discount if they are DFCSG Owners. Under-16s must travel with a responsible adult.
Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email with your travel details. And speaking of away travel…
