Missed yesterday's game or just couldn't get hold of a programme? YOURCLUB Content brings you DFCSG's programme notes from the Peterborough Sports game.

WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON

There's nothing like back-to-back wins to boost confidence! Perhaps you expected us to beat Farsley given their recent difficulties, but that home game against Chester had 'difficult' written all over it, but our win was professional, hard-fought, controlled and incredibly satisfying.

Chester are no mugs, they've got very good squad, a decent manager and substantial resources to succeed at this level yet we managed the game superbly and thoroughly deserved the win.

We're now looking up, rather than down the table and with a run of home fixtures in front us, we could well in the play-offs as we move into December.

Peterborough Sports arrive at Blackwell Meadows on the back of some mix results including a comprehensive 3-1 win against Alfreton but some disappointing defeats to Kidderminster, Leamington and Farsley Celtic.

At the time of writing, The Turbines are 20th in the table, and you suspect they'll be fighting against relegation this season. For a small club, Peterborough Sports have done brilliantly to stay in this league over the past few seasons, but National League North gets tougher each season and you do fear for them.

It's great to see Gary Gill in hospitality. An important player in our promotion seasons of the early 1990s under the guidance of Brian Little.

Gary was a cultured midfielder and scored 9 goals in 64 appearances for Darlo before moving onto Cardiff. I have vivid childhood memories of Gary's flowing locks and his Claudio Caniggia headband - loved it!

Finally, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the supporters, players, and officials of Peterborough Sports. Enjoy the game!

SPARTANS BECOME LATEST COMMUNITY-OWNED CLUB

A couple of weeks ago Blyth Spartans announced that the club has moved into community ownership, ending a period of uncertainty under previous owner Irfan Liaquat which led to home games being postponed following the resignation of key club officials and volunteers.

A not-for-profit Community Interest Company, Blyth Spartans 2024 CIC, was established by a group of local businessmen and long-term club sponsors alongside a representative from the club's supporters group the Green Army.

Martin Trinder, a club sponsor, one of the local businessmen involved in the CIC, and interim club chairman, said: "The famous Blyth Spartans club is a hugely important asset for its fans and the whole community, and as supporters ourselves we want to secure its future as part of the community. This is a case of existing sponsors with a proven track record of commitment to the club stepping up and taking responsibility for building its future."

Kevin Miles, chief executive of the Football Supporters' Association, added: "Community ownership of a football club with the involvement of fans and the local community, is the best guarantee of a permanent future for a club. Even club owners, like players and managers, come and go, but the fans and the community are with a club for life. Having grown up in Blyth myself, I know just how important the Spartans are, and I am delighted a new era of community and supporter ownership of the club has begun."
