WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON

The 'Great Escape' is on! The turnaround has been quite incredible. Full credit to Steve and Terry for steering the Club towards safety and to the players for the huge improvement on the pitch.

We now look like a team who should be fighting for honours at the other end of the table. Our win ratio under Steve Watson is 50% which, if maintained until the end of the season, would be enough to ensure our survival on c52 points.

Our performance against Scunthorpe was first-class and, undoubtedly, the highlight of our season so far. Pace, power, clinical finishing, will-to-win, and organisation in abundance.

I thought we were unlucky to lose at Spennymoor; we were in full control of the first half and better finishing would have given us a deserved lead at the break. A draw would have been more reflective of a keenly fought contest between the league’s in-form teams.

Matty Cornish, Cameron Salkeld and Cedric Main have rightly taken the plaudits in recent weeks, but I must give special mention to Toby Lees who is our most-improved under Steve Watson and is now showing why he was Blyth Spartans' player of the season.

Today we entertain Peterborough Sports. At the time of writing, The Turbines occupy 15th place in the league. Recent form has been mixed with two wins (Rushall & Banbury) a draw (Southport), and two defeats, including a narrow lost to Gateshead in the Quarter Finals of the FA Trophy.

Sports are managed by former York City and King’s Lynn Town striker, Michael Gash, and also have Kaine Felix amongst their ranks following a mid-season transfer from Quakers.

Finally, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to the supporters, players, and officials of Peterborough Sports. Enjoy the game!
