WELCOME FROM JON SADDINGTON
It was always going to be a tough start to the season, but the lads have performed admirably in sapping heat against teams relegated from the National League. Long away trips to Oxford & Buxton in the space of a week have added to the physical and mental challenge.
There are positive signs that Steve's newly assembled team will have a good season. Focussing on recent signings, Jack Maskell is already proving to be a handful for defenders, Elliott Forbes has added height and physicality, whilst Pete Jameson, Joe Leesley and Scott Barrow will be big players for us.
Today's match is a fantastic opportunity to get our first home win on the board. Leamington Town gained promotion to the National League North at the first time of asking following a play off win against Telford United. The Brakes have had an indifferent start to the season but did register an impressive 3-1 win over Spennymoor Town.
DFCSG AGM will be held at the end of October and we have published an invitation for the nomination of Board Directors. If you feel you have the right skills and attributes to become a Director then we would love to hear from you. Further details on how to stand for election have recently been emailed to DFCSG Members.

DFCSG AWAY TRAVEL
On Bank Holiday Monday (26th August), we'll be heading to Curzon Ashton FC. Departure from Park Place will be 11am. The price for adult DFCSG members is £25 (£13 juniors) and adult non-members is £28 (£14 juniors).
On Saturday 7th September, we travel to newly promoted Marine FC in Crosby. The coach will depart from Park Place at 10.30am. The price for adult DFCSG members is £25 (£13 juniors) and adult non-members is £28 (£14 juniors).
