D-A-R-L-O, WE ARE D-A-R-L-O! - Curzon Ashton (24/25)

Across the 2024/25 season, YOURCLUB Content will bring you the inside track on the Darlo fans who have got the chance to pick the music played at one of our home games this season thanks to their 2024 ‘Boost The Budget’ contribution…and bring you their playlist too!

Curzon Ashton, Saturday 25th January 2025 - Adam Cattell

My love affair with Darlington FC began during our unforgettable GM Vauxhall Conference-winning season back in 1989.

The Fourth Division title followed the very next year, and as an impressionable 11-year-old, I thought more glory was inevitable and that nothing could stop us!

Of course, things didn't quite pan out that way.

Supporting Darlo often feels like loving an errant child—you endure the mistakes, heartbreaks, and moments of chaos, yet the bond remains unshaken. Every victory brings immense pride, while defeats test your patience.Through it all, you stay loyal, believing in their potential and hoping they'll make you proud someday.

Under Steve and Terry's leadership, pride has been well and truly restored. Despite living on the other side of the world in Australia, I've weirdly never felt so connected to my club.

That connection inspired me to start a podcast, Darlo Till I Die, where I share the journey with fellow fans, celebrating the highs and dissecting the lows.

DTID is available on Apple and Spotify, and who knows—maybe we'll have some real triumphs to discuss by the season's end!
