D-A-R-L-O, WE ARE D-A-R-L-O! - Chester (25/26)

By Steve Rees

Across the 2025/26 season, YOURCLUB Content will bring you the inside track on the Darlo fans who have got the chance to pick the music played at one of our home games this season thanks to their 2025 ‘Boost The Budget’ contribution…and bring you their playlist too!

Chester, Saturday 20th September - Richard Baker

My first Darlo game was the benefit match against Southampton in 1982. I remember being excited about seeing Kevin Keegan at Feethams!

My strongest initial memories of being a Darlo fan are going to night matches at Feethams in the mid-to-late 80s – there was something exciting about playing under the lights!

My all-time favourite Darlo team (and manager, Brian Little) was the double championship-winning team from 1989 to 91 – incredible memories of seeing the team winning lots of matches and playing great football.

My favourite player in the current squad would be Scott Barrow. He gives everything, versatile, and he's a great ambassador for the club off the pitch.

My most memorable moment supporting Quakers would be Chris Senior's goal in the FA Trophy Final in 2011 – winning a cup at Wembley...enough said!

My most enjoyable away match...does the dramatic FA Cup win against Burnley at the Riverside Stadium in 1998 count?!

Expectations for this season? Let’s hope we can edge into the playoffs...
