I compiled this playlist to highlight the highs, low, love and hate that pretty much all fans have with their team. More so for us Darlo fans after last year!
I started watching Darlo in January 1985 when me and some lads from school went to that game against Boro. Scared the life out of me what happened that night. But, for whatever reason, I kept going and have never looked back.
I used to go with my dad, and we saw some truly awful games. Hull at home on Boxing Day 1999 was particularly miserable! We also saw some crackers too; the FA Cup win over Burnley at the Riverside. Phew!
Now I bring my son with me so he too can experience the lows, lows, lows, highs, and lows of watching Darlo.
A lot of our time is spent in the Tin Shed shaking heads and sighing but, every now and then, there is the joy that a last minute equaliser in the FA Cup away to Walsall can bring.
So yes, this playlist has some songs that reflect my time watching Darlo. None more so than the last track. Yep, I love you but, by gum, it is very tainted at times!
Also, you may notice that the initials of the band names spell out a festive message to you all.
Despite the ups and downs, I will keep coming back because we're a little bit special and I've made some great friends in the nearly 40 years of watching this wonderful club.
