Following the latest chapter in our club's history - an FA Cup 1st Round victory over League One side Swindon Town (the club's first win over a Football League club since fan ownership was initiated at Darlington FC in 2012) - we now find ourselves in the draw for the 2nd Round!
As a fan-owned club, and thanks to the initiative and drive of Mark Adams, our incredible supporters stood up and raised an amazing £1,622 to help toward any costs incurred through travel and accommodation for the long trip to Swindon.
Without doubt we gave the team a helping hand in that famous victory by assisting in the preparation for the game.
The 2nd Round draw has taken place and we have yet again been drawn away, this time to League One's Bristol Rovers.
This fixture is expected to take place over the weekend of 27th-30th November.
As with Swindon, the fans would like to put in place another fundraiser to try and replicate that 1st Round preparation.
We fully understand that during these unprecedented times not everyone will be in a position to contribute. However, any contribution would be gratefully received and any sharing/promoting of this fan-driven initiative would be hugely appreciated by Alun, David and the rest of the Darlington team.
